The Master's degree programme in Industrial Quality Management is a strongly working-life oriented programme which gives you the opportunity to grow into expert in the field of quality. The new degree programme is conducted fully online. The aim of the studies is to develop and deepen the students' professional skills and competences in industrial quality framework.
The degree programme focuses on developing the necessary abilities for planning and developing quality system processes, and also continuous improvement and creative problem-solving for the organization's needs in industry. The studies support you to acquire skills for demanding expert and supervisor positions.
Studies in Industrial Quality Management
The planned duration of the Master's degree programme in Industrial Quality Management (60 ECTS) is 1.5 years. The studies are planned to be completed alongside working. The Master studies consist of compulsory core competence studies (20 ECTS), elective complementary competence studies (10 ECTS) and Master's thesis (30 ECTS).
The core competence studies include studies in research methods and future operating environments that are common to all students in the Master School. The rest of the compulsory studies deepen the insight specific to each programme. Students may further deepen or expand their competences by choosing elective courses from the other Master School programmes.
The themes of industrial quality management studies include principles of quality management in an industry, different quality tools and lean principles in practical consideration.
A central part of the Master's studies is the Master’s thesis. The thesis work is carried out as a working life oriented development project. The thesis will not only develop your knowledge and skills in a certain study field and specific topic but also gives you the possibility to enhance your skills of leading teams and work groups.

Entry requirement to the Master's degree programme is a minimum of two years’ relevant work experience gained after a suitable higher education degree completed in Finland or abroad or a Finnish post-secondary or higher vocational level diploma.
